AFPT's Doggy Day Camp Program, is a four-day training camp designed to enhance your dog's skills and well-being. Located at Pineywoods Pet Retreat (Pollok, TX, 10-minute drive from Lufkin) this program combines Doggy Daycare with one-on-one training!

During the two-week program, your dog will engage in Doggy Daycare activities while also benefiting from four one-on-one, 30-minute training sessions. These sessions, split evenly across the two weeks, offer focused attention and guidance to address your dog's specific basic obedience needs.

To ensure compatibility and tailor the experience to your dog's requirements, a consultation is mandatory before enrollment. This initial meeting allows us to understand your training objectives and craft a customized plan accordingly. Rest assured, all participating dogs must exhibit friendliness towards both humans and fellow canines.

What's included?

Your dog will master fundamental obedience commands such as Sit, Lay Down, Loose Leash Walking, and Leave It.

Over the course of two weeks, your dog will enjoy four days of training alongside engaging Doggy Daycare sessions.

Choose from two convenient group options:

Group 1: Sessions held on Tuesday & Thursday over a two-week period.

Group 2: Sessions held on Wednesday & Friday over a two-week period.

Upon completion of the program, clients will receive comprehensive training guides and homework to support ongoing progress at home.

Available to all dogs 12 weeks old and older.

Your dog is required to be up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. You will be required to provide a copy of these records prior to your dog’s program.

Dogs must be friendly to humans and other dogs. Your dog will be exposed to new humans and dogs during Doggy Day Camp we want to make sure everyone stays safe and happy.

Four Day Doggy Day Camp Program - $280

$50 non-refundable deposit due at time of scheduling to hold your spot - $230 remainder due by first day of the training program.

AFPT Board and Train Program is a 10 day program where your dog will board at Pineywoods Pet Retreat (Pollok,TX ; 10 minutes outside Lufkin) and receive daily training lessons with me.

A consultation is required prior to scheduling your dog for a Board & Train Program. Dogs must be friendly to humans and other dogs. During our consultation we will discuss your training goals to develop the best training plan for your dog.

What all is included?

Obedience Commands may include: Sit, Lay Down, Come When Called, Loose Leash Walking, Door Etiquette, Polite Greeting + more

Dog will receive 10 days of training and boarding for 8 nights (start on Monday, going home Friday evening to be home for the weekend to relax and recharge, will return Monday morning to continue program and finish/go home following Friday)

If you are going on vacation and require additional boarding over the weekend, please let me know so we can make that arrangement. There will be an additional boarding fee applied.

Clients will receive training guides & homework when dog goes home

Where will my dog stay?

Your dog will stay with the incredible staff at Pineywoods Pet Retreat. Your dog will receive daily training sessions along with stimulation activities and socialization with new humans and dogs.

How long is the Board & Train Program?

This is a 10 day training program. Your dog will receive 10 days of training and 8 nights of boarding. For example: Dog arrives on Monday morning for first day of their stay, dog goes home on Friday evening to recharge and relax for the weekend, dog will return Monday morning to finish out their training and finish/go home the following Friday evening.

What will my dog learn?

During our consultation we will discuss the training goals you have for your dog and make a personalized training plan. This may include commands like Sit, Lay Down, Come when Called, Stay, Leave It, Loose Leash Walking and more. We may also address things like Door Etiquette, Polite Greetings or Leash Pulling.

It is very important to build a strong bond between you and your dog. It will also set your pup up for future success with good behavior and understanding of basic commands. We will address any problem behaviors you may be experiencing with your dog as well.

I will teach YOU how to train your dog by giving you the tools and knowledge to be successful. You have to be willing and open to suggestions and ready to commit to your training journey. This is a lifelong commitment and you will have to continue working with your dog to ensure that training lasts.

I offer private classes in client’s home so I can better address problem behaviors and ensure dog can be comfortable and successful in their own environment that they are used to.

Has your dog already completed Basic Obedience? Continue on to Advanced Obedience to ensure your dog has a good understanding of their commands. Training is done in highly distracting environments like local parks and dog approved businesses.

Pick between to convent options; In-Home Consultation for $75 which goes towards your total if you decide to sign up, or a free 30 minutes phone consult.

During your consult we will discuss your training goals for your pup. We will also choose the right training plan for your dog to achieve your obedience goals and address any problem behaviors they may have.

Like many things as a pet owner, it is very important to invest in training for your dog. Getting started with training early on will help prevent bad behavior in the future of your dog’s life.

I offer private classes in client’s home, so I come to you! Each dog in training will get their very own training plan. I put together folders customized to each dog that will have your training material, information on problem behaviors you experience and more! You will also receive weekly homework assignments that list the commands you and your pup need to work on leading up to our next class. The last class of our program will also consist of your pup’s graduation where they will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Looking for one on one flexibility? Sign up for individual private lessons that are tailored to your needs. This option is great for learning a few commands or address a few common problem behaviors.

Common Problem Behaviors may include jumping, chewing, potty training, leash pulling, no recall, begging, etc.

Available to all dogs 12 weeks old and older.

Must be up to date on ALL vaccinations.

Providing you with more flexibility, Individual Private Lessons may fit best for you! I recommend these lessons for dogs who need shaping on their known commands, learn a couple new commands or addressing a problem behavior. Some dogs need more time so remember that training is a marathon, not a sprint.

A dog training program specifically curated for rescue dogs. This program ensures that owners are prepared with the knowledge they need to welcome their new rescue home for the smoothest transition possible. To ensure everyone’s comfort, this course will be limited to 3-4 dogs at a time. This allows me to still be able to spend 1-on-1 time with each dog/owner to make sure everyone understands what we are learning in each lesson. You will also be added to a private Facebook Group to stay connected and informed.

The benefits of joining our group classes extend beyond training sessions. You'll have the chance to connect with other dog owners who share similar goals and experiences, fostering a supportive community of pet lovers. I will always be available to answer your questions, offer guidance, and provide ongoing support as you and your dog progress through the training program.

At All Four Pawsitive Training, I prioritize safety and use only positive reinforcement techniques to create a harmonious learning environment. I firmly believe that building trust, confidence, and cooperation is the key to achieving long-lasting behavioral changes in dogs.

Course Content:

Basic Obedience Commands, Socialization Techniques, Addressing: Resource Guarding, Barking, Polite Greetings, Separation Anxiety, Overexcitement, Graduation and Certificate upon completion of course + more!

Each dog will receive a training folder with detailed information about the course + weekly homework.

This Program is offered at a lower cost to make it more affordable to the community. My passion as a Dog Trainer has always been working with shelter dogs. My goal is to help ensure dogs don’t go back to the shelter due to problem behaviors.

How long is the course?

The course is a 5 week course. With one lesson a week that will last 1 hour.

Where will the group classes take place?

Classes will take place at Winnie Berry Humane Society in the fenced area.

How many dogs will be there?

There will be 3-4 dogs in each group class.

Can I have multiple dogs in a group class at once?

Yes you can, only if there is a handler for each dog (18 years and older).

Do I have to attend every lesson?

Yes you must attend every lesson for your dog to earn their Certificate at the last class.

Will my dog receive some kind of documentation at the end of this program?

Absolutely! Upon completion of this course, your dog will earn a Certificate saying they have successfully completed their “Second Chance Obedience Program”.

After my dog completes this program, can we continue training lessons with AFPT?

I always encourage furthering your dog’s education. After completion of this program, we can continue with private lessons with your dog depending on your specific needs.

Is this program offered at other Shelters?

At this time Second Chance Obedience Program is limited to Winnie Berry Humane Society. If I have more inquires about offering this program at other shelters I will absolutely do my best to make that happen.
